India

Whether it’s the culinary splendour of the food, the dramatic contrasts of landscapes from north to south, or the sensory assault of people, culture & religion, India challenges you to leave not having been profoundly impacted in some way.

With an ancient history jostling side-by-side with modern thriving megacities, nowhere provides the contrasts that India serves up on a daily basis. Within the many massive cities, fascinating medieval neighbourhoods transform into glittering techno-complexes and then back again. All the while the culture, the food and the daily life of Indians goes on around you, as it has done for centuries.

Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata are the dominant backdrops for all of this, but the cities are just connection points in India. Delhi serves the Golden Triangle, with Agra’s Taj Mahal the crown jewel amongst the splendour of Rajasthan, while Jaisalmer and Amritsar provide equally spectacular ancient landscapes.

But, it’s not all culture & architecture – the mountains and hiking of the north give way to amazing beaches and watercourses of South India, creating a much more serene and relaxing travel experience.

All of this is underscored by the food, which never fails to delight, but also provides so much massive variety from one end of the country to the other.
